Review: The Vanishing Girl by Laura Thalassa

The Vanishing Girl by Laura Thalassa
Rating: 3 out of 5 stars

I’d like to thank the publisher for letting me review this book via NetGalley.

The Vanishing Girl was an interesting read with a new concept. I really enjoyed the intrigue behind the teleportation and the project. I also really liked the mystery behind Adrian and his father.
I thought this was a good new adult read, but if the author was trying to create a love triangle, it didn’t work. First, the love between Ember and Caden seemed way TOO insta-lovy. Second, the potential for a triangle with Adrian was definitely there, and if the author didn’t mean it to be there, it definitely could have been erased.
I definitely want to keep reading the series, if only because of the ending and to see if it gets better.
Overall, I thought The Vanishing Girl was a nice blend between New Adult and Sci-Fi with an interesting concept.
Have you read this book and did you like it? I’d love to check out your review, so leave a link. Is it on your TBR?
